    Jota Viklander

    Jota Viklander is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over 14 years of training and coaching experience. He has guided numerous athletes to success in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi Grappling, and MMA tournaments. Beyond his time on the mats, Jota dedicates himself to analysing matches, techniques, and strategies an approach that complements his teaching and helps his students excel both in training and in competition.

    Igor

    Igor is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with extensive competitive experience. He began training in 2001 in Brazil, learning under some of the most respected masters of the art. Over the years, Igor has tested his skills at high-level tournaments, including the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Grand Slam, UKBJJA events, and a wide range of national and international competitions.

    Stacey Pomeroy

    Stacey is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Ross Nichols, with over six years of experience on the mats. She has taught women and children, developed a strong defensive game training largely with men, and is also a registered trainee on the British Stunt Register. With qualifications in Yoga, Pilates, and Personal Training, Stacey brings a unique blend of jiu-jitsu expertise and holistic fitness to every class.

    Will Nichols

    Will Nichols is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt and accomplished competitor. He’s a No-Gi European Champion at blue belt, a 3x Polaris Superfight winner, and a gold medalist at both the London Open and British Open at purple belt. Known for his technical style and passion for teaching, Will brings his competition-tested knowledge to every class.

    Michael Turner is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt under Jota Viklander and a core member of the coaching team at Stance Jiu Jitsu Academy. As one of the main coaches for both adults and kids, Michael brings technical knowledge, patience, and a passion for teaching to every class, helping students of all ages progress confidently on their jiu-jitsu journey.

    Lucca Pratelli is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt with over six years of experience and serves as one of the assistant coaches at Stance Jiu-Jitsu Academy. A dedicated practitioner and student of the art, Lucca combines technical understanding with practical insight gained through consistent training and competition. His teaching style is adaptable, catering both to hobbyists seeking personal growth and to athletes pursuing competitive goals. As one of the academy’s kids’ coaches, Lucca’s patient and supportive approach creates a positive and encouraging learning environment for young students.

    Pia Hagen

    At Stance, Coach Pia helps kids build real skills not just in Muay Thai, but in life in Woolwich. Whether your child is full of energy or needs help coming out of their shell, Pia’s coaching offers a space where they can grow stronger, more focused, and more confident one round at a time.

    She is a dedicated Muay Thai and MMA coach with a lifelong passion for martial arts and youth development. Originally from Perth, Australia, Pia began her martial arts journey at just 3 years old, training and competing in Tae Kwon Do until the age of 10. Her early foundation instilled the discipline and focus she now shares with her students.

    Since returning to London in 2019, Pia has trained under some of the best in the game refining her Muay Thai with 2x MTGP World Champion Jose Varela and developing her MMA skills under respected coach Stuart Austin. She’s competed across Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and No-Gi grappling, even earning a silver medal at the No-Gi European Championships. Now under the guidance of UFC coach and striking specialist Rowan Katzew, Pia continues to deepen her expertise.

    What truly sets Pia apart is her background as a former Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher. She brings a strong understanding of how kids learn and grow, and she creates a positive, structured environment where young students can thrive. Her classes focus on four core values: respect, discipline, confidence, and fun.
